A Yorktown Police detective was dispatched to Key Bank in the Jefferson Valley Mall on May 2, to investigate an attempted larceny. Police said that the investigation determined that on April 28, Bronx resident Victor Reveron used a forged license while allegedly attempting to steal $7,000 from the bank.
According to police, the investigator made several attempts to contact Reveron, 43, and he was uncooperative. A warrant was subsequently issued on May 15 for his arrest. On Aug. 7, two detectives responded to the Putnam County Jail, where Reveron was being held and he was arrested.
Reveron was transported back to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and identity theft, all felonies.
Following his arraignment, he was transported back to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Aug. 28 to answer the charges.
